Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be keen on bringing Ibrahimovic to the Premier League, but the Metro claim that Chelsea have stolen a march on their rivals and that the Blues are in conversation with the player’s agent.
The Metro say that Ibrahimovic is keen to join the English champions and that he would sign a contract with Jose Mourinho’s men should he be offered £7m per year – around £135,000 a week.
Ibrahimovic scored 19 goals and made six assists in 24 Ligue 1 games this season.
