Blues will face battle with Monaco to land Germany’s Sami Khedira.
Real Madrid could sell Chelsea and AS Monaco target Sami Khedira for just €18m (£15.5m) this summer, according to German website transfermarkt.de.
Los Blancos are reportedly keen to sign Geoffrey Kondogbia, 20, of Sevilla and will allow either Xabi Alonso or Khedira to depart to make way for the young Frenchman.
Khedira seems the most likely of the duo to leave the Spanish capital and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on a reunion with the defensive midfielder, who he managed at the Bernabeu.
Mega-rich Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are also interested in the Germany international, however, and could enter a bidding war with the Blues for the 26-year-old star.
Transfermarkt’s story appears to originate from Spanish newspaper Sport but fanatix could not find a link to the original online. ITV sport have also run with the story.
