Kramaric ready to join the Blues.
HNK Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric looks set to complete a £7m transfer to Chelsea before going straight out on-loan to Vitesse Arnhem, reports CaughtOffside.
The Croatia international has been in fine form this season, scoring 28 goals in all competitions and also becoming a key part of the national team setup.
Leicester City have also shown interest in Kramaric, but will be beaten by the mightier lure of the Blues and in a double blow for the Foxes they won’t even be able to land the forward on-loan.
Leicester had hoped that if they were beaten to the 23-year-old’s signature then they would be able to snap him up on a temporary deal, but Jose Mourinho would prefer to see the Croatian at Vitesse along with fellow loanees Josh McEachran, Bertrand Traore and Wallace.
Mourinho is keen to find a long-term replacement for veteran Didier Drogba, who is likely to retire at the end of this current campaign and views Kramaric as the ideal acquisition.
