Mou has spoken to Real’s Sami Khedira about Chelsea deal.
Jose Mourinho has spoken to Real Madrid star Sami Khedira about a summer move to Chelsea, according to German newspaper Bild.
The Portuguese signed the 26-year-old for Los Blancos is 2010 and is thought to be keen on a reunion with his former charge.
Khedira is reportedly surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu, following the arrival of Spanish starlet Asier Illaramendi and the form of Brazilian Casemiro.
The German international has featured prominently under new head-coach Carlo Ancelotti in pre-season but it is understood the Italian will favour Spain international Xabi Alonso, who is currently recovery from groin surgery.
Defensive midfield remains the one area of the Blues squad that looks vulnerable. Although Michael Essien has returned from a season-long loan at Real Madrid, doubts remain over the quality of Jon Obi Mikel, while former boss Rafa Benitez utilised David Luiz as an auxiliary enforcer.
