The Blues suffered a blip earlier in the season but things are going well again.
After suffering back-to-back defeats to Everton and FC Basel, many were saying that Chelsea had lost their touch under returning manager Jose Mourinho.
However, since the loss at Stamford Bridge to the Swiss champions, the Blues have enjoyed wins over Fulham and Swindon Town and a draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
The west London side also got their European campaign back on track on Tuesday night with a dominant 0-4 win over Steaua Bucharest in Romania.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that the win over Steaua means that the club have returned to winning ways this term.
“The way we played, both individually and as a team, was very nice to see,” the 31-year-old told the Chelsea website.
“When you have results like we did against Everton and Basel in the same week you wait for a reaction, and I think the reaction has been perfect.
“Since then we’ve had some good games and good performances. I think you see the real strength of a team when something like that happens.
“It was the most difficult moment of the season so far for us, losing two games in a row was something we didn’t want, but we are now back on track and that’s very positive.”
Cech has played every match under Mourinho this season – apart from the League Cup triumph over Swindon – and is one of only a few stars who enjoyed success under the 50-year-old last time around.
The Czech Republic international has been at the Bridge for almost a decade now, but could face competition for a place next summer when the highly rated Thibaut Courtois returns from the Belgian’s loan spell at Atletico Madrid.
