Greater Western Sydney look set to lose list manager Stephen Silvagni, who is being targeted by former club Carlton, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph report that the Giants board will meet on Wednesday to discuss Silvagni’s future.
If Silvagni were to choose to leave the expansion club, the Giants could force the former Blues defender to sit out the remainder of his contract.
Silvagni is contracted until the end of 2015 and released a statement on Twitter regarding his future.
“I am currently contracted to the Giants,” Silvagni said. “After a successful trade period, the club is now focused on next month’s NAB AFL draft and contract extensions for a number of our players.
“We hold a strong position at the draft and look forward to continuing to build on the gains made last week.”
