Jarrod Croker has capped off an outstanding season by being named the new Canberra Raiders captain.
The 24-year-old centre has played 140 matches for the club since making his debut in 2009.
Croker recently signed a new deal with the club that takes him through to the end of the 2018 season and took over the club captaincy after Terry Campese was dropped to the NSW Cup.
In what was a poor season for the Raiders, Croker enjoyed a breakout season where he won the Mal Meninga Medal a Canberra’s best player and was invited to train with New South Wales in preparation for State of Origin.
Former captain Campese departed the club to take up a deal with English Super League side Hull KR.
