Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has missed the entire season apart from Week 1 due to being indicted on child abuse charges, which allegedly involved him beating his four-year-old son with a switch.
The running back has been suspended by the NFL for a personal conduct policy violation, and he tried to appeal his suspension.
Peterson’s suspension has been officially upheld, so he cannot return to the NFL for the time being since his appeal was denied. However, he may return for the start of the 2015 season.
