Forward set to finally sign.
Theo Walcott’s representatives are at Arsenal’s training headquarters today to finalise contract terms, according to Goal.com.
Walcott’s camp are set to meet club officials, including boss Arsene Wenger, chief executive Ivan Gazidis and contract supremo Dicky Law, to put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half new deal worth £90,000 per week.
The England star is currently earning £60,000 per week and the new contract is also expected to include top-up bonuses and a hefty signing-on fee.
Wenger has stressed that the former Southampton man would not be sold in January but the Walcott has been free to speak to foreign suitors since the beginning of the month.
The stand-off between player and club has eased in recent weeks, because the 23-year-old has started the last five Gunners matches in his preferred position as central striker.
The speedster has impressed with five goals, including a stunning hattrick against Newcastle, and his commitment to the Emirates Stadium club will allow Wenger to focus on signing him a strike partner, with Spaniards David Villa and Adrian Lopez on the Frenchman’s radar.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City have all been linked with a move for Walcott.
