The Boston Red Sox are planning to sign Cuban sensation Yoan Moncada…
Teenager Yoan Moncada has reportedly found a team to play for as the Boston Red Sox have signed the 19-year-old to a four-year contract.
Albert Pujols retirement – Los Angeles Angels first baseman may retire early due to daughter training for Olympics
Adam Wainwright – St. Louis Cardinals to lighten workload of starting pitching ace
Jorge Posada Bernie Williams – New York Yankees to retire numbers of World Series champions
Moncada’s contract is expected to be worth $30m in signing bonus money that would break the $8.27m record for an international amateur player.
The youngster will have to pass a physical to make his deal official though.
The infielder is receiving massive hype as he enters the league, and he is even expected to be on the same level as Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano.
