Klopp revealed that he would be open to a move to the Emirates, and that if he wasn’t working in the Bundesliga then he would almost certainly be working in the Premier League.
“I think it’s the only country I think where I should work, next to Germany,” he said.
“It’s the only country I know the language a little bit and I need the language for my work.
“If somebody will call me, then we will talk about it.”
Arsene Wenger has now been with the club for 18 years, and is thought to be on his way out in the next season or two.
The likes of Roberto Martinez from Everton and Pep Guardiola of Bayern Munich have also been touted, although Klopp is certainly one of the front runners for the position.
Guardiola is believed to be Arsenal’s first choice, but the former Barcelona man may be out of reach. He is currently managing one of the best teams in Europe, and has said nothing to suggest he will be stepping down any time soon.
