The tweet above, from respected Spanish source AS, confirms the exit, and now Chelsea fans who wanted to see a return for the ‘Special One’, will put further pressure on Roman Abramovich to make the deal a reality.
Mourinho has long been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge ever since Roberto DiMatteo was fired by the club in November.
Still a firm fan favourite at the team, the chances of a reunion between the two parties seems more and more likely, as the team looks to return to the top of the Premier League table next season.
