Former Italy PM called Man City striker a “bad apple”.
Mario Balotelli’s agent has launched a stinging attack on AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi after the former Italy Prime Minister had labelled the striker a “bad apple”.
Berlusconi had been asked in an interview about the chances of the controversial Manchester City front man joining the Rossoneri in the January transfer window.
However, the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, has now come to Balotelli’s defence, telling Sky Sport Italia: “Balotelli is not a bad apple. He is a cherry.
“I think that in this case the President made a huge mistake, it was a real gaffe.”
There have also been reports circulating in both Italy and England this week stating that the Italy international could also be on his way to high-flying Napoli this month, however, Raiola has been quick to dampen down this speculation.
“As for Balotelli’s chances of returning to Italy right now, I’d give it at 0.0001 per cent. Napoli? There is absolutely nothing in this story,” Raiola confirmed.
Balotelli is currently making headlines once again after his training-ground bust-up with first team-mate Scott Sinclair and then his manager Roberto Mancini was caught on camera and then splashed across the back pages of the tabloids.
