Bayern Munich’s shock Champions League defeat at the hands of Porto this week has seen the club’s entire medical team quit after an alleged row with manager Pep Guardiola.
The under-pressure Spaniard was seen venting his frustrations at various members of his staff on the bench in the midweek loss, which ended 3-1 to the Portuguese side against an injury-ravaged Bayern team.
Guardiola was clearly frustrated by his medical team, and appeared to sarcastically applaud them for their efforts at getting key players fit, with Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, the head of his medical staff, leaving the dugout and walking down the tunnel.
According to the Daily Mirror, Bayern themselves have not been formally informed of their departures, but it is expected that this fall-out will have done enough damage to lead to them quitting the Bavarian giants.
Bayern have had a slightly difficult patch of late, with Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger and David Alaba among the key players to miss large chunks of this season through injury.
