The Catalan club are still reeling from the news that long-serving number one Victor Valdes intends to leave the club following the expiry of his current contract which runs until the summer of 2014.
That has led to wild speculation regarding who might replace the Spaniard in the Barcelona goal with many suggesting David De Gea of Manchester United had been identified for the job.
But it now appears his Premier League colleague, Vorm, is the man the Barcelona hierarchy have targeted to take up the gloves at the Nou Camp.
The 29 year old goalkeeper joined Swansea from Dutch side Utrecht in 2011 for just £1.5 million. Vorm has since gone on to establish himself as one of the finest glovesmen in the division with his electric reflexes.
His form has not gone unnoticed by his national team where he has become a regular member of the Dutch international set up.
It is thought Swansea will not be willing to sell Vorm on the cheap, but they are unlikely to be able to resist the advances of Barcelona who are able to tempt Vorm with Champions League football.
