Phillip Hughes has been named 13th man for Australia’s first Test against India, with skipper Michael Clarke cleared to play.
Clarke has overcome back and hamstring injuries to be available for the series opener, with Shaun Marsh missing the cut for the final XI.
Young seamer Josh Hazlewood was the other player to miss out on a spot, but will remain in Adelaide as 12th man.
Cricket Australia has decided to honour the late Phillip Hughes by naming him 13th man for the first Test of the summer.
All Australia players will wear #408 below the crest in honour of the late batsman.
