Australia captain Michael Clarke led from the front as the hosts continued to frustrate England on Day 2 of the second Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval.
Captain Michael Clarke reached his second successive century on Friday as Australia took a grip on the second Ashes Test against England.
Clarke, who hit 113 in the second innings as Australia won by 381 runs in Brisbane, brought up his hundred with a clip off Ben Stokes and raised his arms in celebration.
With 109 upon lunch, Clarke’s ongoing partnership with Brad Haddin (57) was proving fruitful, and put Australia in a strong position on day two with a score of 389 for five.
England now have a tough task bowling England out for a total within chasing distance.
