Wenger hopes for Mourinho return to England.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has spoken of the need to see Real Madrid boss return to English shores according to The Daily Star.
The Portuguese boss is known to be unhappy at Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants having struggled for form this season and sitting behind Barcelona and city-rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga currently.
Mourinho has previously spoken of his desire to return to England and with him widely expected to leave Madrid in the summer, a return to the Premier League looks certain to be on the cards.
Wenger has moved to say he would welcome the Special One’s return, despite the two regularly clashing during Mourinho’s reign as Chelsea boss.
‘You want all the biggest and best managers in the Premier League. I’d be happy to welcome him back. I want the Premier League to be the best in the world – but remember you have to get the best players here first as it’s not all about the coaches’ said Wenger.
Reacting to the news that former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has agreed to take charge at Bayern Munich, Wenger said ‘It’s difficult to measure how big a blow it is to the Premier League. How it will affect the quality of our league is impossible to say.’
Guardiola had been linked with a number of Premier League sides including Champions Manchester City, current league leaders Manchester United and European Champions Chelsea.
