Welsh midfielder preparing for tough run of fixtures.
Arsenal’s Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes his side are ready as the enter January with a tough set of fixtures ahead of them, according to The Independent.
The Gunners host Manchester City on Sunday to kick of a run of games that could well shape their season.
Swansea are welcomed to the Emirates next Wednesday for a FA Cup final replay that could prove tricky against a side looking destined for the League Cup final after their 2-0 first leg semi-final win over Chelsea.
That’s followed by London derbies against Chelsea and West Ham with the possibility of a game against Brighton or Liverpool should they successfully negotiate their way past Swansea.
Ramsey though is sure Arsenal can cope with the demanding schedule.
‘It’s a big month for us. We play some teams who are above us [in the league] and we have an FA Cup game as well, so it’s important to take these opportunities. We have Manchester City at home and Chelsea away, games that we did well in last season, so hopefully we can do the same again this year and that will set us up nicely for the run in to the end of the season.’
