Wilshere asks Wenger for change of position at Arsenal.
Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has hinted that he and Arsene Wenger disagree over what his best position is, the Daily Mail reports.
The 22-year-old has recently shone for England in a deeper midfield role, dicacting the play from further back than he is used for the Gunners.
Wilshere admits he would like the chance to play there more often, but that Wenger has disagreed over where he is best suited.
“I wouldn’t mind playing there for Arsenal,” he said. “I’ve already spoken to the manager about it and he doesn’t see me playing that holding role just yet. That’s his decision.
“At the moment Mikel Arteta is injured and Mathieu Flamini is playing that role. It’s down to him.
“This is probably the best I’ve played for England and I’m enjoying it. I said after the first game against Switzerland that I’d only get better. It was my first game in that role. The main thing is the coaches are getting their points across.”
