With the Premier League season drawing to a close Arsenal will be allowing one eye to venture to next year and how they can improve from 2013/14.
If they win the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League for an 18th straight year – which is highly likely- then it will be acceptable for manager Arsene Wenger, but hardly groundbreaking.
Whilst the Gunners have been linked with a number of high profile stars in the transfer market, they could do with taking a look at their youth academy before making any decisions on new acquisitions.
This is because there is a plethora of talent waiting in the ranks for the north Londoners and over the years this policy of promoting young talent and making them into top-class stars has worked wonders.
In the current squad Wenger can boast the likes of Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Wojciech Szczesny as successful youth products.
