Chuba Akpom’s cousin is killed after a street attack in Leicester.
Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom has confirmed that his cousin has been killed following a street attack in Leicester.
Antoin Akpom, 20, a football coach and father, was attacked on Thursday night and died from his injuries in hospital.
Three people, two women and one man all aged 19, were all arrested in connection with the attack but have since been released without charge.
Antoin’s family have appealed for witnesses of the attack to approach the police with information.
Chuba, 17, a talented forward, who was praised by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger in pre-season, briefly confirmed on twitter that he was shocked by the news:
