It would be a shock move, considering that Arsenal have opened contract talks with Walcott over an extended deal in recent days, but La Viola are hoping to swing the deal with the offer of undisputed first team football in Florence.
Walcott has plenty of competition for his place in the Arsenal side, with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla all capable of playing out wide, but they are still likely to be desperate to keep hold of Walcott.
