The Premier League duo are interested in signing Pedro.
Barcelona forward Pedro has emerged as a transfer target for both Arsenal and Liverpool as the Spaniard becomes frustrated with a lack of game time, reports the Daily Express.
The 26-year-old has started 15 matches in all competitions this term and has scored 14 goals and provided four assists – including a hat-trick against Getafe in La Liga on Sunday.
However, with such a plethora of attacking talent at Gerardo Martino’s disposal at the Nou Camp Pedro is not getting the opportunities that the Spain international would like.
“I am happy with Barcelona, but things have to be evaluated every season,” the attacker was quoted by the Express.
“When you play less you do not feel less important, but it is true that you notice playing fewer minutes and it is different.”
The Gunners and the Reds are both in desperate need of support in attack, as too much reliance at both clubs in put on a small amount of players.
For instance Arsene Wenger has found a competent star to lead the line in Olivier Giroud, but any injury or suspension to the Frenchman leaves the manager with only the unimpressive Nicklas Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo as options.
Likewise at Anfield they have arguably the best striker in the division in the shape of Luis Suarez, along with the in-form Daniel Sturridge, but beyond that things look remarkably weak.
Pedro generally operates on the flanks but has a real eye for goal and in 35 caps for Spain to date the forward has 13 strikes.
