Di Maria hits out at reports linking the Argentine with the Premier League.
Real Madrid attacking midfielder Angel Di Maria has blasted journalists that linked the South American with a transfer to either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.
The BBC reported back in August that the Gunners were trying to secure a double move for Di Maria and club team-mate Karim Benzema.
Meanwhile the 25-year-old has been linked with a switch to White Hart Lane for around six months, with Sports Direct News reporting on the story back in July.
However, the Argentina international has hit out at these claims and has looked to distance any links with the Premier League.
“No I have not asked out. My head is at Real Madrid. You [journalists] put that I was going to Tottenham or another club. You know where these reports come out,” Di Maria was quoted by the Metro.
“I’m happy at Real Madrid. I never asked for a renewal. A player who does not play cannot request a renewal.”
It was thought that the summer arrival of Isco and world record transfer Gareth Bale would unsettle Di Maria, with the Argentine having more competition for a place in the starting XI.
As it is the winger has played 22 matches in all competitions already this season and has netted five goals and provided nine assists.
It means that any ambitions that the north London rivals harboured about signing Di Maria have been essentially quashed.
The Argentinian arrived at Madrid in the summer of 2010 from Benfica for a £21m fee, having since gone onto make 159 appearances for the Spanish giants and winning La Liga and the Copa Del Rey.
