Gunners prepare sensational move for French starlet.
Arsenal have been linked with a sensational £60m bid to sign Juventus starlet Paul Pogba next summer, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners are desperate to make new signings in midfield after failing to bring in the likes of Sami Khedira and William Carvalho this summer, and it now looks as though they could go all out for one of the best young players in the world in that position.
Pogba’s value has soared since he left Manchester United for a move to Turin in 2012, and he has been linked several times with a big-money return to the Premier League with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and United themselves.
Arsenal have started to show more ambition in the transfer market in recent times, spending a combined £77.5m on world class stars such as Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the last two summers, and Arsene Wenger now looks ready to break the club’s transfer record again.
Pogba has all the qualities to be a great all-round midfielder, and would provide Arsenal with some much-needed strength, work-rate and technical quality in the middle of the park, and they will hope to sell a number of squad players to help fund the move, with Lukas Podolski also likely to be included as part of the deal.
