Gunners set sights on priority midfield target.
Arsenal will launch a £15m bid for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, but not until the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Express.
The talented French international has been in superb form for the Saints this season, and has also attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Still, Arsenal look the favourites to snap him up, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger known to be keen on improving his options in midfield.
Despite the fine form of Francis Coquelin, Arsenal need a long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta in that deep-lying role, and Schneiderlin looks the ideal candidate.
But the player has let the south coast club know his desire to play Champions League football, and with depending on where either side finish come May could determine the particulars of the deal.
