Llorente looks like choosing Juve over North Londoners.
Arsenal look to have missed out on yet another striking target in the January transfer window after it emerged that Athletic Bilbao centre-forward Fernando Llorente was mulling over a move to Italian giants Juventus, reports the Metro.
The North Londoners have been keeping a close eye on the giant Spain international for some time, especially since the player told his club that he would not be signing a new contract to remain at San Mames beyond the end of this season.
However, if reports in both Italy and Spain are to be believed, then the front man would prefer a move to Serie A this month ahead of the Premier League, with ‘the Old Lady of Italian football’ said to be nearing the conclusion to talks with Juve over a £3 million transfer.
And, if that move does go through in January, then that will prove to be yet another bitter blow to Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who is known to be desperately keen to bring added firepower up front to the Emirates as his team look to seal a place in the top four of the Premier League, and with it a lucrative entry into next season’s Champions League.
