The German international joined the club from Bundesliga side FC Koln in the summer and has claimed to be enjoying how things are going at the North London club.
Podolski also believes his current return of ten goals and seven assists is a decent effort on behalf of the former Bayern Munich player.
Fans of the club may disagree, with some perhaps suggesting that those statistics fail to tell the story of some disappointing performances at times this season.
The forward was brought in with the proceeds from the sale of Robin Van Persie to Manchester United but has failed to firmly establish himself as the Dutchman’s replacement, leading to the Gunners being linked with a number of strikers during the current transfer window.
‘I’ve come to a new league, a new country, and I think things have gone ok. Then again, I’ve been a professional footballer for ten years so it’s not as if my environment has changed at a very young age’ Podolski said.
Defenders of Podolski may point to the fact that the player has largely operated from a wide-left role rather than as a centre forward.
