DM) Francis Coquelin
Having originally been thought of as a fantastic prospect, Francis Coquelin has failed to live up to the expectations put upon him. This season could be his last chance to show he has what it takes to make it at the top level.
CM) Abou Diaby
Having been almost permanently injured for the last few seasons, Abou Diaby finally looks like he’s getting to a level of fitness where he can compete again. A cup run-out would be a fantastic way to assess whether he is ready for a move back to the first team.
CAM) Tomas Rosicky
Feeling somewhat underutilised so far this season, Arsene Wenger will surely give the loyal Czech a game against Southampton. He will be one of the few truly experienced players on the pitch and will want to give a performance that forces Wenger to take notice and reintroduce him to the starting XI.
