Emirates Stadium star elects against Turkish return.
Arsenal left back Andre Santos has elected against a move to Galatasaray according to the Daily Mirror.

The Brazilian has come under plenty of criticism since he moved to Emirates Stadium last month, thanks to decidedly shaky displays on the left hand side of the back four.
Indeed, in the Gunners’ recent match against Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup, both Seagulls goals came from attacks down Santos’ flank, as he was constantly caught out of position. If this happens against nPower Championship opposition, it is likely to be even worse in the top flight.
For Arsenal, having signed Nacho Monreal to offer Kieran Gibbs competition on the left side means that Santos is now at best third choice, but arguably fourth with Thomas Vermaelen sometimes deployed ahead of him.
It is strange that Santos turned down a move to Turkey.
Not only would he get to play alongside illustrious team-mates such as ex-Inter Milan and Real Madrid star Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba, formerly of Chelsea, but there is also the financial factor.
Footballers in Turkey are able to pay just 15% tax on their salaries, which is highly favourable in comparison to some of the bigger leagues.
What’s more, Santos has already been a success in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
Perhaps instead, it is a reluctance to play for his old club’s Istanbul rivals that is preventing him from signing for Galatasaray.
Either way, officially he will continue to fight for his place at Arsenal – and they are stuck with him.
