Gunners scout will run the rule over Atletico Mineiro youngster in tonight’s Copa Libertadores final.
Arsenal have sent a scout to watch Atletico Mineiro wonderkid Bernard in action in the Copa Libertadores final on Wednesday evening, reports ESPN Brazil.
The 20-year-old playmaker looks set to leave Atletico this summer and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.
A report in French daily L’Equipe on Monday claimed the Brazil international was set for a medical with the Gunners on Friday, ahead of a £24m switch.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger cooled the speculation, however, insisting: “That report is not true.”
However, this latest informational would suggest Wenger is still making up his mind over the youngster but proves the North London outfit are seriously considering making a move for Bernard.
