Gunners want to bring La Liga duo to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are lining-up a summer move for Barcelona star Ibrahim Afellay, reports CaughtOffside.
Boss Arsene Wenger believes he can lure the Dutchman to the Emirates Stadium when Afellay finishes his season-long long loan spell at Bundesliga outfit Schalke.
The 26-year-old struggled to cement a first-team spot in at the Spanish giants following a move from PSV Eindhoven and was farmed out to the Gelsenkirchen side in the hope of attracting interest from potential suitors.
Wenger has previously targeted the adaptable attacker and will re-ignite efforts to bring in the Netherlands international to North London in the knowledge that he could sign the talented flair player for a relatively low fee.
Afellay has been a moderate success in Germany, netting four goals in 13 appearances and playing his part to help Schalke into the last 16 of the Champions League – impressing Wenger when Arsenal faced the Germans in the group stage of the competition.
The Utrecht born Dutch international is currently sidelined with a thigh injury suffered during winter training.
