Premier League pair desperate to land Barca star.
Arsenal and Manchester United look set to battle it out for the signing of Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba this January, according to the Daily Express.
The Spanish international could be available for around £25m this winter after some disappointing recent form, with new manager Luis Enrique set to continue to revamp his squad at the Nou Camp.
Having sold the likes of Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal and Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea this summer, Enrique is now unconvinced by Alba as his first choice left-back, though he could make a top signing for either Arsenal or United.
Arsene Wenger wants to replace the under-performing Nacho Monreal, while Louis van Gaal wants more experienced competition for summer signing Luke Shaw.
