Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be given the freedom to select the man who eventually succeeds him at the Emirates Stadium, report the Sun, and a surprise name has emerged as a leading contender for the job once Wenger eventually decides to step aside.

The man in question is former Chelsea and current Real Madrid coach Paul Clement, who has enjoyed an incredible rise in prominence having previously been a PE teacher in Sutton in South London.
This may not seem like it gives him the credentials to take over the reins at Arsenal – but Clement has worked with some of the finest managers in the world and appears to be universally admired by his peers.
