Wenger has come under increased pressure in recent weeks.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has sent a message to the club’s supporters ahead of this evening’s Premier League game against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium – with the Frenchman telling fans to focus on supporting the team rather than targeting him, according to reports from the Mirror.

Premier League predictions for the weekend
Wenger has come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks due to his side’s patchy performances and results, whilst fans have also targeted their long serving manager, notably during the away games at West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.
The Frenchman clearly believes that this is counterproductive, however, and has told fans to focus their energies on supporting the team today:
“What is in the word supporter? Support. It says what it says.”
“I don’t expect anything but if you will look at the history of Arsenal and what we have achieved in the last 18 years and we have moved forward and that what is what we want to continue to do.”
