The Frenchman has nothing but praise for the Red Devils ace.
In one of the most incredible feats in English football history, Ryan Giggs celebrates turning 40-years-old in the midfielder’s 23rd year in the Manchester United first team.
The Welshman is still an important part of the Red Devils setup, as shown by the supreme passing display Giggs gave against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The veteran is the most decorated footballer ever to have played the English game, with an impressive trophy haul that includes 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two Champions League triumphs.
Even Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger – who’s Gunners side have been on the receiving end of some fine Giggs performances – was moved to praise the midfield ace.
Wenger on Giggs: “He reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp who played until 37, 38. You respect their love and passion for the game.”

Wenger on Giggs: “When he was younger he got injured a lot..not now… Maybe he is like a good Bordeaux – he gets better as he gets older.”

It was Wenger’s men who had to watch on in one of Giggs’ best moments in a United shirt during the 1999 FA Cup semi-final replay.
After Dennis Bergkamp had missed a penalty for the north London side, the United star broke down the left wing in what has become one of the defining images of the competition.
Giggs blazed past three opposition players, leaving right-back Lee Dixon flat footed before smashing the ball into the roof of David Seaman’s net.
There aren’t many Red Devils fans who don’t get goosebumps as the midfielder turns away celebrating, windmilling his shirt in his left hand with hairy chest exposed.
