Gunners to bring in three to try and turn their fortunes around.
With Arsenal now trailing Premier League leaders Chelsea by a huge 11 points, the Gunners may as well give up any chance of the title – but the cup competitions and ensuring a top four place mean that there is still plenty to play for this campaign for Arsene Wenger and his side.
Reports coming out of the recent club AGM suggested that Wenger will be handed a significant warchest in an attempt to save the club’s season – but he must spend it wisely and avoid the transfer mistakes of the summer, particularly at the back.
These are the three players that Wenger seems to be targeting:
Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
French midfielder Schneiderlin almost forced a move out of Southampton this summer, but the club kept hold of him and his stock his risen even higher after a flying start to the season for both player and club. Arsenal are desperate for a defensive midfielder and Schneiderlin is one of the best in the Premier League right now, with reports suggesting that the Gunners are very interested in the £25m-rated star.
