Gunners begin negotiations to sign La Liga attacker.
Arsenal have reportedly opened talks over a deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Alessio Cerci in the January transfer window, according to the Metro.
The Italian international has not enjoyed the best of starts at the Vicente Calderon since his move from Torino in the summer, and it is thought that he will already be allowed to leave the club.
£12m could be enough for Atletico to consider selling the player, who had initially impressed and caught Arsenal’s eye with his fine performances in Serie A.
Arsene Wenger could do with more upfront for his side, and Cerci may benefit from a move to the Gunners, where he may play more regularly than at present.
