Gunners not in discussions with Rennes enforcer.
The agent of Arsenal and QPR target Yann M’Vila has revealed that he has not been in contact with the Gunners about the midfielder – but it is understood the 22-year-old is not interested in a move to Loftus Road.
The Rennes star has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium since last summer, while Tottenham were also thought to be tracking the 22-year-old in August.
QPR are the latest London outfit to express an interest in M’Vila but Goal.com understands that the Frenchman is not interested in joining the lowly Hoops.
But M’Vila’s representative, Tim Halger, has revealed that there has been no discussions with the Gunners but his eager to find his client the “right sort of club” this month.
“There is interest from a lot of clubs. Yann has a good contract at Rennes – it is possible that we can stay there and be patient,” Halger said.
“Every transfer window we are asked about Arsenal because of what the newspapers say, but I have not spoken to them about Yann.”
Rennes manager Federic Antonetti claimed over the weekend that M’Vila would leave the club once a suitable offer came in, while the player recently admitted he would be open to a move to the Premier League.
M’Vila has endured a miderable six months in Lige 1, after losing his place in the Rennes first-team and being banned from international football for 20 months after breaking curfew whilst on duty for the under-21s.
QPR reportedly had a £6.5m bid rejected by Rennes but it is understood that boss Redknapp is keen to return with a second offer for the tough-tackling star.
