Gunners want Pato at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are interested in a January deal for AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, according to CaughtOffside.
The Brazil international is set to leave the Rossoneri in January after handing in a transfer request at the San Siro.
Pato has become a bit-part player at Milan, with injuries and poor form seeing him slip down the pecking order.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has publicly confirmed the likely departure of the striker, along with compatriot Robinho.
“We have two negotiations going on, both Pato and Robinho asked to leave Milan,” Galliani said.
There is interest in Pato from his native Brazil but the former Internacional striker is understood to be keen to stay in Europe.
Pato was prolific in his first four seasons in Italy, scoring 57 goals in 125 appearances. But over the past 18 months, the 23-year-old has scored just six times and boss Massimiliano Allegri is willing to sell the forward.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to beef-up his attack options but and has been linked with interest in Spanish strikers Fernando Llorente, Adrian Lopez and David Villa but Pato would offer the Frenchman a more natural fit to fill the role at the spearhead of the Arsenal attack.
