Frenchman’s Emirates Stadium future in doubt.

Sagna’s current contract expires in summer 2014 and the 29-year-old Frenchman is reportedly unhappy at only being offered a one-year deal by the Gunners.
Asked on Wednesday about the possibility of leaving, Sagna said: “Honestly, I’m under contract with Arsenal and I give everything so long as I am under contract with my club. This is a difficult question.
“Before leaving, because I will leave here one day, I would like to win something with my club. I don’t want to answer yes or no now because in football you never know what will happen.”
Sagna has twice been named in the PFA Premier League team of the year and has been one of the Gunners’ most consistent players, when fit, since joining from Auxerre in 2005.
But the France international has struggled for form this season after recovering from a broken leg and young Englishman Carl Jenkinson, who signed new contract last month, is pushing him for a first-team spot.
Jenkinson was one of six British players to sign a new deal with the Gunners just before Christmas but the loss of Sagna would still be significant to the club, following on from the sales of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Robin Van Persie and Alex Song in recent seasons.
Sagna questioned the club’s summer transfer strategy in September, saying that he could not understand why Arsenal had sold Song as well as Van Persie.
He also admitted on Wednesday that Arsenal had been over-reliant last season on Van Persie.
“He carried the team all by himself last season – he’s doing it again with Manchester United this season,” he said.
