Gunners quoted massive asking price.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been told to cough up a whopping £47m if they want to sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund this January, according to the Sun.
The German international has been strongly linked with both clubs in recent times as they eye defensive improvements in the next transfer window, but this asking price may proove too high.
The Gunners’ current record transfer fee paid is £42.5m for Mesut Ozil, and it remains to be seen if Arsene Wenger would be willing to pay similar amounts to sign Hummels.
United have also spent big in recent times, but could consider cheaper targets at the back this January.
