The 23-year-old has hit the back of the net 16 times this season and is considered to be one of the best young talents in La Liga.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal scouts have been tracking the exciting prospect ahead of a possible £3m cut-price swoop during the summer transfer window.
Villarreal are reportedly keen to lock down Moreno, however he has just a year remaining on his contract with the Yellow Submarines and the Spanish club may look to cash in on the centre-forward before he becomes a free agent.
The Mirror’s report suggests the Gunners are yet to make a formal approach for Moreno, but the Premier League has already established a business relationship with Villarreal after the purchase of Gabriel Paulista this season.
Paulista’s transfer resulted on Joel Campbell going in the other direction on loan and Arsenal will be hoping Villarreal bosses will be happy to talk yet again.
