Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has surprisingly finished second in a poll asking who the club’s best ever transfer was.
Even the likes of Robert Pires, Sol Campbell and Dennis Bergkamp have failed to make it to top spot, which was held by current Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas.
The poll was conducted on 90mins.com, with around 10,000 votes casted, as reported by the Metro. Fabregas collected 56% of the votes, which ensured that he finished above some stellar names.
Having joined the club from Barcelona in 2003 for a small compensation fee, the Spaniard went on to make 212 appearances for the Gunners and became captain at one stage.
However, having pushed for a return to Barcelona and then deciding to join rivals Chelsea last summer, he now experiences a mixed relationship with Arsenal supporters.
Regardless, it appears as though the majority still love him based on this poll, as finishing above Henry in particular is certainly impressive.
If he so happens to score against Arsene Wenger’s men later this season though, there could be a few that opt to change their mind….
