Verratti has never fully settled in Paris despite some fleeting glimpses of the huge potential that he showed as a teenager at Pescara in Italy, a level of potential that means Premier League suitors are set to face competition from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for the midfielder.
Both sides reportedly had bids of around £9 million rejected for Verratti in the summer, with Bayern moving to sign Xabi Alonso instead, but the player represents a potential goldmine and is likely to spark a real transfer battle if he does decide to leave the Parisien club.
