Liverpool forward Luis Suarez was pictured in London this afternoon, leading to suggestions that he could transfer to either Arsenal or Chelsea in future.
The Reds ace is top scorer in the Barclays Premier League this season with 14 goals from 10 starts, and having been the subject of a number of rejected bids from Arsenal throughout last summer, Suarez was last week linked with a £65 million switch to Stamford Bridge.
Suarez is one of the most coveted strikers in the world at present – not only because of his tremendous form and ability, but because Liverpool are not competing in Europe, he would not be cup tied if he transferred to a UEFA Champions League side.
His fitness record is also remarkable, and although he has missed a number of matches through ill discipline, Suarez has no muscular injury on record since he moved to Europe with FC Groningen in 2006.
Regardless, the Uruguayan was photographed outside a Harvey Nichols store on Sloane Street in Chelsea, west London this afternoon with his wife Sofia.
The Daily Star report that the Uruguayan’s presence in the capital has fuelled rumours that a move to either the Gunners or their west London rivals is on the cards.
There is of course absolutely no possibility that he was merely Christmas shopping.
