Gunners star rated doubtful ahead of Villa meeting.
Arsenal top scorer Alexis Sanchez could miss out on lining up against Aston Villa on Sunday as he nurses a hamstring injury and will have to undergo a fitness test on Saturday to prove to Arsene Wenger that he is fit enough to take part, according to Sky Sports.
The Chilean international has featured in all but one of Arsenal’s league games this season, with recent stats showing that his goalscoring and assist records combined means he has played a part in over a half of their goals so far.
And should he not make it, it will be the first time since September that they have had to line up without him.
New boy Gabriel Paulista could be in line to make his debut after joining the club this week, but Wenger confirmed that Danny Welbeck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta are all still out.
