Heavyweight prospect Anthony Joshua has his fifth outing against Hector Avila in Glasgow on Saturday night.
The Olympic champion continues his education in the professional ranks against the veteran Argentinian on the undercard of Ricky Burns’ world title defence against Terence Crawford.
Joshua has stopped each of his four opponents inside two rounds in an impressive start to his career.
Dorian Darch, his opponent earlier this month, brought a winning record as does Avila, who has a 22-15 slate with one drawn.
He also provides a useful formline having taken current European champion Dereck Chisora nine rounds on the Briton’s return from a hiatus just under 12 months ago.
This fight is only scheduled for six, but it will be a surprise to many if it goes the distance with Avila having suffered eight stoppage losses in that time.
Not that Joshua is looking beyond Avila.
“All I can do is focus on March 1 and my opponent,” he told Sky Sports. “That’s all I’m worried about. I’m not worried about anybody else except for my next opponent.
“I’m always trying to build on it fight-by-fight so hopefully the next performance will be better than the last.
“Styles make fights as well and a lot of the time it depends on what fighter I have got in front of me.
“But, I’ve been watching Avila a bit and I think it will be interesting because I think he’ll suit me as an opponent.”
