West Ham manager interested in bringing Beckham to Upton Park.
West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has refused to rule out a swoop for former England international David Beckham, according to The Daily Mirror.
The Irons boss is reportedly keen on bringing in the midfielder after he recently completed the end of this contract with American club LA Galaxy.
While the former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Manchester United star has lost some of his pace, the 37-year old still reportedly has an eye for a pass.
Allardyce believes Beckham can inject some technical class into the centre of his midfield.
The signing raises the prospect of Beckham being reunited with his former international colleague, Joe Cole, who made his debut for the East London club in the 2-2 FA Cup draw with Man United at the weekend.
When asked about Beckham after their FA Cup tie, Allardyce coyly responded ‘We will wait and see. You never know.’
Rumours about Beckham returning to the Premier League have increased in recent weeks after it was reported that the Beckham children had been enrolled in one of London’s top private school.
The veteran midfielder has also caught the eye of QPR boss, Harry Redknapp, who saw Beckham first hand during this time training at Tottenham last season, and will seek to offer Beckham an alternative route to the capital.
